HISTORIC PRESERVATION:
BASICS FOR REAL ESTATE AGENTS
This
three-hour course presents the basics of historic preservation, particularly as
it affects homeowners. Topics covered include preservation philosophy, historic
designations, tax credits and funding, preservation easements, and a guide to
the key players on the federal, state and local levels. A short walking tour –
or virtual tour for a large class - through an historic district will offer
brief discussion of historic house styles and application of class material. 3 CEUs

styles are discussed—with a focus on information that will help sell houses.
