This section is dedicated to answers and resolutions to the most common questions and issues. You can learn about the Connecticut Trust, including its mission, board members and staff, and contact us through this section. This section illustrates the numerous designations, ordinances, laws, methods and programs available in Connecticut to protect and preserve our irreplaceable architectural, historical, and cultural heritage.

This section will help you find the right person for the preservation job, be it our Circuit Riders, who are field officers trained to bring preservation resources to local groups, real estate agents trained in the history of major Connecticut architectural styles, preservation and conservation easements, preservation regulations and tax incentives or restoration professionals and suppliers in Connecticut and surrounding areas.

This section offers assistance, guidance and programs to those seeking to promote historic preservation and protect our cultural and architectural heritage. You can find out whether a property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. What restrictions there are if you live in a Local Historic District. What is the procedure in designating a scenic road. Here you can learn about many of the Connecticut Trust’s initiatives, including our other websites like Historic Barns of Connecticut or Connecticut Towngreens.
