Ways to Give

There are many ways to give to the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation.

A cash contribution: You may use our secure online donation service (just click the button and type in the amount you would like to donate):

You may write a check payable to the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation and send it to our office at 940 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06517.

Become a member!  Click on the left menu, Membership.

You may want to designate your on-line or mailed gift as Membership.  Click on the left menu, Membership.

Purchase of a Connecticut Trust license plate also includes a $50 donation to the Connectiuct Trust.  Click on the left menu, CT Trust License Plates.

Gifts of stocks, mutual funds, or bonds may be the best way for you to give, as your gift of appreciated stock or mutual funds can be tax deductible at full fair market value at the time of the gift, and there is no capital gains tax due. Please ask your broker to contact us or send the securities with a letter of transmittal to the Connecticut Trust at the address below. 

You may have property or tangible goods you would like to donate. Please contact us before making the gift to make sure we can accept it, and to discuss any necessary appraisal, environmental study, or other preliminaries. You might also consider donating a paid insurance policy.

Planned gifts are a wonderful way to make a long-term impact with your contribution. This could include trusts, retirement funds, charitable gift annuities and other estate planning methods. As a tax-exempt organization, the Connecticut Trust can benefit from a variety of trust arrangements and bequests which carry substantial benefits for the donor.
