Searching for ways to save money on energy costs AND maintain the integrity of your historic house?
Then you will not want to miss this program! Hoffner Residential Conservation Services will perform an energy audit for the circa 1827 Eli Whitney Boarding House for Working Men which will include a demonstration of blower door and infrared testing.  Jay Bright, AIA, Architect, certified by the State Historic Commission, will discuss ways to increase the energy efficiency of the building while maintaining its historic integrity.

From I-91 North or South:  Take Willow Street, New Haven Exit 6.  Coming from the South, the exit is a left exit.  Turn right onto Willow Street.  Follow until the end, at Whitney Avenue.  Turn right onto Whitney Avenue.  At the fourth light, turn left into our driveway.  Boarding house is located behind the red barn. 

From Merritt Parkway/Wilbur Cross Parkway:  Take the Whitney Avenue, New Haven Exit 61.  Travel south on Whitney for approximately 3-4 miles passing Hamden Hall Country Day School on the right and the Whitney Reservoir on the left.  Travel through the light at Armory Street, turn right at the next light (comes quickly) into our driveway.  Follow signs to Connecticut Trust.
