Our organization is in experienced hands.
Meet our Executive Director, Jane Montanaro, who leads the organization along with 8 staff members, and our Board of Trustees Chair, Caroline Sloat. Together with the Advisory Council, they work to achieve the organization’s preservation mission.
Executive Director Jane Montanaro
Jane has been a vital part of Preservation Connecticut since 2005. In her previous PC role, she administered over 550 grants to public and private property owners, totaling more than $5 million. She now leads a team of staff members who help set the state’s preservation agenda and restore community vitality. Click here to meet other members of our staff.
Board Chair – Caroline Sloat
Caroline is now a freelance writer and historical consultant after a career as a historian and publisher at Old Sturbridge Village and the American Antiquarian Society. She also volunteers with the Girl Scouts of Connecticut and the Alumnae Association of Mount Holyoke College. She became Board Chair in May of 2020 after serving as a Trustee for nine years.
