Stop A Demolition
You have the power to protect threatened properties.
First, you can make sure your town has a demolition delay ordinance.
Second, in towns with demolition delay ordinances, you can submit an objection letter to a town official, which puts the demolition on hold. To see the current list of properties slated for demolition, click here.
Third, if the property is on or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, it may also be protected by Connecticut’s Environmental Protection Act. Contact us for more help.
Finally, you can submit information about proposed demolitions to us so we can track and publicize it. We know that you’re the one on the “front lines” of defense of our historic properties. Thank you for helping us protect our state’s great places.
