“Architecture is for everyone,
and there’s enough to go around
if we’ll only learn to take care of it.

Go out and keep your eyes open.
Enjoy every bit of it,
whether it’s on somebody’s list or not,

And above all, guard it.” -Elizabeth Mills Brown ❤️

After Betty Brown passed away, our Deputy Director Chris Wigren was determined to finish an architecture book of Connecticut that she started. The book became “Connecticut Architecture: Stories of 100 Places” and he will be talking about how this book came to be at the Old State House on January 15th at noon. Swing by on your lunch break if you’re in downtown Hartford.
